A lot of people use email these days as their main source of communication. However, when people send emails out, there are often mistakes that they make that they should avoid. Here are three big mistakes that you should avoid when you’re sending out emails.

1.      Wrong Recipient – The first mistake that you should avoid is sending the email to the wrong recipient. Before you click send, check the recipient, especially if you are using an email like Gmail that automatically fills in your recipient’s email.

2.      Caps Lock – The second mistake that you should avoid is typing in all caps. This is something that is considered screaming and it is thought to be offensive. A lot of people won’t read an email that is all in capital letters, so don’t do it.

3.      Profanity – The third mistake that you should avoid is using profanity in an email. Not only does it look bad for you but it also can insult the person that you are sending the email to.

4.      Sending Possibly Insulting Emails – The fourth mistake that you should avoid is sending religious or joke emails to someone that you don’t know very well. You could insult them without meaning to, especially if they don’t have the same religious beliefs as you do.

5.      Sending Without Reading – Finally, you should avoid the mistake of sending the email without rereading it. The reason for this is that you may have said something that you didn’t mean or used the wrong word. If you reread the email, you can catch mistakes before your recipient does.
